Shipping Policy

Standard Service - UK
Under normal circumstances we aim to ship within 2 to 3 working days of receiving an order.

In most cases for smaller, lightweight and low value items, such as signature cards and commemorative stamp covers, we will use Royal Mail 1st Class post, which may take up to 2 or 3 working days - sometimes a little longer in peak periods such as before Christmas. For most of our customers this sort of timeframe is acceptable and it helps keep postage costs down as low as possible. For larger items we may use a courier such as UPS or ParcelForce - the delivery times will be about the same. If you are in a hurry you may want to use our Priority Service.

Priority Service - UK
We ship all items using either Royal Mail First Class Recorded, or if the value exceeds £50.00 a next day courier such as Royal Mail Special Delivery or ParcelForce 24, depending on the size of the order.

For shipments which exceed 2Kg, an alternative courier such as UPS, Parcel Force or DHL will be used. In most cases shipments will be received within 3 workings days of placing your order online.

Unexpected Delays
If for any reason there is a delay, for example if an item is out of stock, then we will let you know and give you the option to change or cancel your order.

Accepting Delivery of Parcels
Your delivery is insured. In some cases, usually depending on the value of the order, you may be asked to sign for the parcel upon delivery. In these cases, for the insurance to be valid, it is important that you examine the parcel carefully before signing for it. You do not have to unwrap it but if there are any external indications of damage such as holes, bending or signs of having been wet, then make a note of this against your signature so it is put on record with the delivery company.

IMPORTANT: for us to be able to claim on your behalf for transit damage or any other issues with your order we must be advised of any problems within 5 days of your receipt of the package.

Limited Edition Prints
These are generally shipped in a strong tube and carefully wrapped using acid free tissue paper to protect the item. On occasion a print may be shipped flat, if already mounted,  against a backing board and with strong protective wrapping materials.

Books and Similar Products

Books will usually be shipped, protected by bubble wrap, inside a strong packing box and for smaller items inside a protective bubble-wrap bag.

Other items such as bookplates etc, will be securely packed flat and sent in strong protective board backed envelopes.

SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF THE UK
If your destination does not provide a shipping cost at checkout, then please contact us before ordering and we will quote the best price we can find depending on the weight, size, value and urgency of your order.

International shipping charges have gone up considerably in recent times and although we try to keep these updated we will still check through all our delivery options to find the best possible rate.

Valid Overseas Shipping Destinations
We ship regularly to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The Rest of The World destinations are generally ok but on occasion this may change should local or regional circumstances change.

Insurance and Tracking
All packages will be insured and tracked. A signature may be required upon receipt. Most are tracked but this can vary by country.

Delivery Times
After agreeing shipping charges we will give an estimate for delivery times based on what we are advised by our shippers. This will not be a guaranteed service in terms of delivery times but in our experience the timings are generally reliable. Whilst they are largely accurate, delays can happen, for example, by postal disputes, severe weather or by parcels being held up in customs. Delivery times can also be extended at busy times, particularly Christmas, so it is advisable to order in plenty of time. In all of these cases there is nothing we can do about any delay once the order is shipped and we only accept overseas orders on this understanding.
