This wonderful drawing captures in great detail the day-to-day activity commonly found on airfields, in jungle clearings and mountain valleys, throughout South East Asia between 1942 to 1945. It is a fitting tribute to those who served in the Forgotten Air Force. The Dakota DC-3 became the workhorse throughout the Burma campaign and without it many of the RAF Fighter Squadrons would have suffered the loss of badly needed supplies due to the non-existent road networks and monsoon rains.
