A stunning painting, by Stephen Brown, commemorating the iconic Trident. Part of a series of "Cameo" oil paintings, the artist has depicted a British Airways Hawker Siddeley HS-121 Trident flying over a British winter landscape in the 1970s. The Hawker Siddeley HS-121 Trident (originally the de Havilland DH.121) entered service in 1964. An innovative three engine, medium range jet airliner for fast inter-city travel, the Trident was introduced in 1964 and was produced until 1978, although they remained in service for some years after that. In 1974 when BEA and BOAC merged to become British Airways, the BEA Tridents became part of the new British Airways fleet, they continued to operate the type up until 1985. Original Oil Painting: canvas on board with Certificate of Authenticity, framed and ready to hang.
